Darlings Cafe

Darlings Cafe
2014
Enable Scotland approached us with an idea to develop a new cafe in the town of Arbroath that would be a training centre for them to teach young people with learning difficulties how to work within the hospitality trade.

The brief was developed to incorporate a contemporary cafe with coffee bar, kitchens, toilets and to the rear would be a meeting / training room, offices, laundry and staff room.

The project received full lottery funding after we submitted plans and the project got underway and was completed and opened on Wednesday 30th May 2012 and is proving very popular with the locals and recently received an award for Outstanding Achievement at the Scottish Home Baking Awards and also nominated for a commendation by the Scottish Parliament. We are all extremely proud of how well the team at Darlings have worked and in conjunction with the great facility they have we hope their success continues.
