Pure Spa

LEEBOYD have recently completed a second day spa for PURE Spa, in Aberdeen. Situated in the busy Union Square shopping centre, the new development successfully integrates a bespoke retail space with specialist beauty treatment and day spa facilities to create a luxurious retreat.

In addition to 5 beauty treatment rooms the spa area beyond provides a suite of 6 specialist therapy rooms, relax area, changing facilities and hot treatment room.  Designed as a calm and tranquil space for those seeking comfort and therapies away from the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping mall.

Oak slat detailing wraps around the solid element of the shopfront (concealing the pedicure area from public view) and punches out beyond the demise line to intrigue passers by.  This element is repeated in the detailed design of the oak louvred feature panels in the spa area where the oak is back-lit to add warmth to the spaces and heighten the sense of a ‘journey’ through the spa area.

We worked closely with Pure Spa to develop the scheme and detailing, ensuring that every aspect of the design met their brief and budget. The project was completed in 13 weeks by Caledonia Contracts, within budget and programme.
