Stanley Mills

Stanley Mills
2009
LDN on behalf of Historic Scotland and The Phoenix Trust have restored the Mid and East Mills of this unique complex of Grade A Listed water-powered cotton mills situated on a majestic bend in the River Tay to their former splendour and adapted them for residential use, providing spectacular accommodation for 150-200 people.

All site services hace been newly installed and the site landscaped without damage to the standing archaeology of the buildings or lades system. A new vistor carpark with associated pedestrian paths was also constructed.

A great deal of consideration was given to the zoning of the site and segregation of uses to ensure the privacy of the new residents.
Designs for converting the Bell Mill to a vistor centre and offices are currently being developed.
