Gorbals Housing Association unveil new HQ

Gorbals Housing Association has moved into its new head office at 200 Crown Street following its official opening.
Occupying land formerly occupied by the Sandiefield Road tower blocks the development includes 28 flats and fronts a newly formed Gorbals Piazza, as well as housing the associations back-office and customer service teams.
Delivered by CCG to designs by Page/Park the scheme serves as a civic hub for the New Gorbals with public amenity complemented by a walled courtyard garden.
Defined by thick red piers and timber-lined interiors the facility provides open plan office space with south-facing glazing offering views to the landscaped grounds.
The development follows on from the completion of the adjacent Gorbals Health Centre.
Elder and Cannon were commissioned for the corner building on Cumberland Street and Crown Street and Page\Park for the flats and office block that continue along Crown Street
