BARD embrace a bold blue look with an autumn rebrand

Glasgow-based architecture studio BARD, an acronym for Bailtean Ailteireachd ’s Rùm Dànach, has completed a rebrand at the hands of Warriors Studio.

Founded in 2013 and with roots in the Hebrides the practice has chosen a bold saturated blue identity, inspired by the wildflowers surrounding its Hebridean office, to stand out from the crowd.

In a press release espousing the changes the studio, best known for its work on an Edinburgh Townhouse; Taigh Bainne and Comunn Eachdraidh Nis wrote: "Every facet tells a story, from the letters echoing their process, to accent cutaways respecting Gaelic roots. Ultimately, BARDs rebrand interweaves narratives of heritage, place, and imagination.

"The rebrand also features a versatile custom typeface inspired by Mackintosh, mediaeval lettering, and architectural drawings, it also embraces typographic compositions that evoke concrete poetry. Furthermore, it introduces collaborative 'verses' from BARD's acronym.

"This provides a window into the depths of their creative world. This rebranding effort represents a multifaceted approach to visual identity that resonates with their ethos of heritage, place, and imagination."

The repositioning includes a new logo and website to unify the practice's public footprint.
