Cooper Cromar to deliver £20m Grandhome neighbourhood centre

Cooper Cromar has been appointed by Hargreaves Land to deliver a £20m neighbourhood centre at Grandhome, near Bridge of Don, comprising a range of retail, leisure and community facilities.

The latest element of the New Town north of Aberdeen will deliver a town centre for residents, ensuring day-to-day needs can be met on-site with access to High Street and smaller stores.

Bruce Smith, trustee and spokesperson for the Grandhome Trust, said: “In keeping with our long-held aspiration to deliver an exemplary new community we have always aimed to deliver a high-quality retail offering and amenities to serve both the new residents and the wider population of Bridge of Don, and we’re pleased to be working with Hargreaves to achieve this."

220 households have settled in the town to date, which could host as many as 4,500 homes when fully complete.

The first shops and amenities are expected to open in 2024.

Why can’t there be tree-lined streets with thickets between each garden?

#1 This comment just looks so dull. Why is it all UR commenters have so little grasp for things like Planning Guidance, developer / client input, market trends?

As with all these developments, the only thing which identifies your house is the car in your driveway, hoping that it's different from the neebs. #1 is spot on.
