Bridgeton office push continues with New Olympia House

Clyde Gateway is pressing ahead with a £1.67m refurbishment of New Olympia House at Bridgeton Cross to deliver 350sq/m of office space.

The urban regeneration company has appointed Redpath Construction to deliver the work, which will create open plan floorplates while introducing a new double-height upper floor, public entrance and lift while retaining period features.

Located on Olympia Street the former Salvation Army Citadel and headquarters of the Grand Orange Lodge has a chequered history and is likely to host a firm based in the finance, creative or digital sectors following the success of the nearby Albus Building.

Clyde Gateway’s chief executive Ian Manson said: “While preserving its heritage and original features, New Olympia House will be a contemporary commercial space that has exceptional walking, cycling and public transport links, with regular trains serving the adjacent Bridgeton station."

Design work has been undertaken by O'DonnellBrown Architects
