Sod cutting marks Chryston Community Hub beginnings

North Lanarkshire Council has commenced work on a £20m Ryder designed community hub in Chryston delivered in partnership with the NHS.

Delivered by Hub South West and Robertson Construction the hub will provide a replacement Chryston Primary School and a community health clinic to replace the Muirhead Clinic.

Part of a new breed of integrated town hubs and smaller community facilities designed to draw multiple public services under one roof the hub will offer a mix of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, green space and a playground accessible directly from classrooms.

Pupils will be encouraged to take daily mile walks along a path marked by footprints with outdoor play equipment such as bug hotels, allotment beds and a fire pit encouraging interaction.

The new hub is expected to open its doors in August 2023.

A drugs clinic and a primary school in the same building. All wrong

Thanks Hub South West
