Construction work is in full swing on the delivery of 88 affordable homes on former industrial land at Bridge Street, close to Cambuslang town centre.

Three flatted blocks of up to six storeys will stand at the western access to the riverside development, which will include a mix of terraced and semi-detached properties all finished in facing brick and zinc within easy reach of the Main Street.

Site manager John McEwan commented: “The coronavirus pandemic has not come without its challenges for the construction industry, but we are delighted to be back on-site and the team’s approach to the new sector guidance has been exemplary."

Designed by Barham Glen Architects and delivered by The JR Group on behalf of Link Group the build is on track for completion by June 2021.

Work on-site has been underway since October last year.
