Aberdeen student housing development welcomes first tenants

Aberdeen’s newest student housing development has opened its doors, drawing tenants from as far afield as America, Ghana and China with a rooftop terrace, local artwork and common areas.

Delivered by design and build contractor Robertson on behalf of Watkin Jones Group the Pittodrie Street development delivers 618 student beds on a former stonemasons yard neighbouring Pittodrie Stadium.

Gordon Milne, managing director of Robertson Eastern, commented: “Pittodrie Street has raised the bar for quality student accommodation in the heart of Aberdeen. The complex, delivered by Robertson, is modern in its design and construction and has replaced a former industrial site which was out-of-place within the surrounding residential area.”

A mix of six different room types is offered including en-suite and studio accommodation for either single or dual occupancy rooms, as well as 31 accessible rooms.

Interior spaces include large modern common areas for studying and socialising.
