Six shortlisted in Camphill Schools competition
August 21 2018
The RIAS have announced a shortlist of half a dozen practices vying to win a £10m estates development package for Camphill School Aberdeen.
Anderson Bell + Christie, Collective Architecture and Hoskins Architects will go head to head with James F Stephen Architects, JM Architects and Scott Brownrigg for the commission after being chosen from 50 UK-wide submissions.
Camphill executive director, Alex Busch said: “We were extremely impressed with the interest generated in the project and with the caliber of the stage 1 submissions. We would like to thank all practices for their time and efforts at this stage and we are looking forward to the next stage of the selection process with the shortlisted practices.”
The winning team will be tasked with sympathetically enhancing two of the school’s three campuses at Murtle Estate and Camphill Estate.

Is the actual product not more important rather than the label on it, or have we got so used to just relying on a big name rather than good design?
Good luck to ALL teams and hope the best designs win...
