Inverness College to move on site
Work to develop Inverness College is to commence on site following the appointment of Miller Construction to deliver the £75m project.

Designed by BDP the new campus is situated on a peripheral site on the outskirts of the Highland capital and will eventually play host to some 8,000 students.

Work on the new college is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2015 term.

The College forms part of a wider masterplan for the Beechwood farm area drawn up by 7N Architects and Lisa Mackenzie Consultancy.
A green landscaped area will also encompass new campuses for the UHI and the Scottish Agricultural College

It is very 1997 architecture in design and with the green and purple color scheme. The copper covered roof structures are very municipal architect of the 1970s. Overall, it is terrible. The nearby Stoneyfiled business park is far superior as it fits with the historic Stoneyfield House whilst being modern. I fear that the college is moving from one architectural disaster to another.
