Knockburn Sports Loch venue completes
A new conference and training venue at Knockburn Sports Loch, Scotland’s only purpose built open water triathlon loch, has been knocked up in double quick time thanks to a glulam frame wooden structure that took just 2 weeks to erect.

Built by local businessman Bert McIntosh and Aberdeen based Core Structures the timber clad facility offers double height spaces with windows on three facades offering expansive views across the man made loch to nearby Kerloch Hill.

Internally the structure is defined by column free spaces and wood finishes which have been specified throughout to respect the rural character of the setting.

Once opened the cabin will enhance the facilities on offer to the many sports enthusiasts and corporate users who flock to the loch

2 weeks to erect and 2 minutes to design. Shocker!
