Leith build to rent tower is given a height boost

Real estate investors Goodstone Living have shared updated plans to develop a build-to-rent community on a brownfield peninsula off Ocean Drive in Leith.

Working with 3DReid Architects on the land between Albert and Victoria Docks, a proposal of application notice calls for a five-storey jump in the height of the tallest western tower to increase the number of apartments 338 to 383 and create a private amenity space at roof level.

Further changes to the development include a reduction in the number of car parking spaces to increase amenities and an increase in the provision of cycle storage.

Previously known as Skyliner and now known as Dockside Leith a formal planning application is expected in March.

A separate application has been made by Hawkins/Brown for a further two towers on adjoining land.
