New plans are being advanced for the residential-led development of a prominent brownfield site in Leith.

Ocean Point 2 will comprise two separate buildings alongside the existing office block as part of an expanding waterfront neighbourhood spurred by the arrival of trams at Ocean Terminal in the spring.

A spokesperson for Harrison Developments said: “There are serious demands on housing supply in the city and this is a superb location in what has been voted one of the world’s ‘coolest neighbourhoods’."

The updated proposals follow plans to deliver 293 serviced apartments, to designs by Hawkins/Brown.

A public exhibition of the latest plans will take place on 13 December.
