Dandara shares intent for 670 homes at Anderston Quay

Build to rent developer Dandara Living has revealed revised proposals to build 670 apartments at Anderston Quay, Glasgow.

Superseding a 2016 application for 603 homes the latest plans for City Wharf envisage a mixed-use riverfront location with the ground and first floors given over to amenities including a gym, pet hub, residents lounge and co-working spaces.

Manson replaces Axis Mason on the design team with a focus on engaging with the River Clyde through an upgraded public realm to improve connections to Anderston train station and the city centre.

As well as providing an additional 67 flats the latest plans adhere to current technical standards concerning fire and energy performance.

Rachel Allwood from Dandara Living said, “Our design proposals embrace Glasgow City Council’s ambitions to increase city living, as well as reflect the calibre and character expected on such a prominent location and greatly enhance the ongoing redevelopment of the River Clyde.

“The site has been derelict for many years, and we are keen to create a development that will proudly help to regenerate this prominent waterfront site.”

The proposed plans will be shown at an online consultation on 15 June.

This will be a big boost to the city centre if and when it happens, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Absolutely prime spot for some decent elevation, here's hoping!

I'd love to be optimistic but there's every reason to expect this to be value engineered dreck with no space for shops, cafes etc.

Is this different to the scheme that Graham have already started building beside the Kingston Bridge?

That's a separate scheme:
