Twin Barlanark apartment blocks to rise on 'white land'

Springfield Properties, with Gardeen Housing Association, have given notice of their intent to deliver new housing at Pendeen Road, Barlanark.
An online public consultation event will take place hourly this evening from 16:00 at which the applicant will set out their intentions for an area of ground designated as 'white land', where no specific end-use case has been identified in the Glasgow City Development Plan.
Indicative plans for two apartment blocks fronting a parking court and private gardens/amenity space.
Drawing precedent from Sighthill, Mansionhouse Road and Springfield's work at Dalmarnock the brick-clad blocks will adopt the Glasgow Standard.
Situated within an existing suburban settlement the land was previously occupied by Pendeen Road Primary School, which has now been demolished.
