Terraces & townhomes fuel Dalmarnock growth

A housebuilder is to break ground on 48 terraced homes in Dalmarnock, Glasgow, later this month after completing the purchase of a block of land at Carstairs, French, Webster and Bonnar Streets.

Keepmoat Homes obtained planning consent in 2019 for a GD Lodge Architects design for a sequence of street-facing terraced and 'townhouse' properties adjacent to Dalmarnock Station.

Plugging into the Clyde Gateway district heating system the linked frontage terraced streets will be bookended by taller three storey elements at each of its four corners, presenting a gable end rather than a pitched roof to bring visual variety.

Named after Sir William Arrol & Co, the famed civil engineering and construction business, Arrolbridge will enclose a central green space offering resident amenities.

Completion of the development is expected next year.
