Budding photographers everywhere are being encouraged to submit their architectural work to the Architecture amateur category of the Sony World photography Awards, 2009.

Our built environment has long provided a rich seam of material for innovative photography and is the ideal stomping ground to unleash your creative impulses.

The international competition will be run alongside the professional awards and judged by renowned industry names Tom Stoddart and Elliott Erwitt.

A deadline for online submissions at http://www.worldphotographyawards.org/enterhere.asp has been set for 31 December 2008 with the winner to be announced on 17 March 2009.
