47 farmland homes lead Brechin's western expansion

A&J Stephen and SB Architects have brought forward plans for 47 houses at Dubton Farm to the west of Brechin, Angus, as part of a broader masterplan for over 250 properties.

Working with the steep topography of the site bungalows will be placed below the ridge line beind a tree belt and landscaping to maintain a green skyline in long views.

Standing alongside a connected development by Scotia Homes the build will be integrated within a network of new and existing paths, joining up areas of open space as part of an integrated green network.

Stuart Bishop, managing director at SB Architects says: “Our masterplan design is a carefully considered response to Angus Council’s Development Framework and ensures placemaking of the highest quality.”

Access to Brechin town centre will be from the A935, bounded by a landscape strip on its southern edge to gradiate between urban and rural environments.

Plenty of greenery AND links to surrounding developments? This'll never catch on.
