‘Scandi-inspired’ community hub delivered at Uphall Station

A £200k Scandinavian-inspired community hub has been delivered at Uphall Station Village, near Livingston West Lothian, by Dundas Estates.

Stretching to 900sq/ft the development forms the centrepiece of a 266-home development and provides space for gatherings, socialising and activities.

Heather Birrell, sales manager at Dundas Estates, said: “The community hub is an important part of the offering at Uphall Station. It is creating a welcoming, integrated community.

“We’re very aware that during the pandemic and its restrictions its uses are limited. We’re looking forward to being at a point when we can officially launch it once appropriate to do so.”

Designed by EMA Architects and Masterplanners the build includes a mix of accommodation ranging from five-bedroom detached properties to one-bedroom apartments.

The hub employs concrete roof tiles with timber fascias and rendered walls
