Livingston garden community consultation launched

The public are to have their say on a residential-led mixed-use development east of Livingston, West Lothian.

A digital consultation has launched for Drumshoreland Garden Community which will transform Clapperton farm into a neighbourhood of 1,800 homes, 450 of which will be affordable.

Landowner Amber REI is bringing forward development proposals with sister company Elan Homes and Optimised Environments for the development, which will rise in a parkland setting and include 19.9 hectares of publicly accessible mature woodland.

A spokesperson said: “Drumshoreland Garden Community will not only deliver much-needed housing, including affordable housing but provide employment, education and community facilities.

“The delivery of this ambitious low carbon development will not only have an impact locally, but across Scotland through major investment in the Scottish agriculture and food sector."

Members of the project team will be on hand on 22 October between 12:00 and 20:00 to answer questions.
