April 7 2006Glasgow School of Art has won a Stage 1 grant of £4.6 million and a development grant of £153,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to revamp the Mackintosh building. Page\\Park Architects and ZM Architecture have been appointed to convert the building back to its original condition, removing partitions, screens and floors inserted in the 1970s and to create new visitor facilities.
