Clydebank health Centre breaks ground

BAM Construction have broken ground on a £19m health care centre in Clydebank as the contractor moves to enact the latest phase of the Queens Quay waterfront regeneration plan.

Due to complete by autumn 2021 the health hub will draw together six GP surgeries alongside district nurses, health visitors and social work, dental and podiatry departments to provide a one-stop care destination.

Designed by Anderson Bell + Christie on behalf of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde the facility will stand alongside a £15m care home.
Bruce Dickson, regional director at BAM Construction, said: “At a time when questions are being asked about the contribution of infrastructure to society, once opened, this will be a great example of how a building can improve a community.”

Sister health hubs are currently underway at Parkhead and Greenock.
