Tescoville

A desolate 1960’s concrete warren, otherwise known as Linwood Shopping Centre, is set to make way for a new mixed use development.

The new Centre will include a town hall, Tesco supermarket, health centre and retail provision.

Paisley North MSP Wendy Alexander, who dubbed the current centre an "appalling eyesore", said: "Tesco's new plans will transform the town centre and help create a modern Linwood of which we can all be proud. The attractive, environmentally-friendly design is in stark contrast with the dilapidated existing centre."

If given the go-ahead work will begin next year.
