Celtic pitch plans for Barrowfield training ground expansion

Celtic Football Club is to embark on a significant redevelopment of their Barrowfield training ground in Glasgow’s east end, including a purpose-built indoor arena complete with a FIFA endorsed artificial pitch.

This would provide the club with all-weather training facilities as well as twin outdoor grass pitches and a pair of indoor and outdoor artificial pitches and an outdoor warm-up area.

A suite of complementary facilities are also planned as part of the build including a gym changing rooms with the potential to add refreshment and grandstand facilities for spectators at a later date.

Overseen by Holmes Miller Architects the project follows an ambitious bid to build a hotel, museum and ticket office to improve the range of stadium facilities on offer for fans.
