Residential redevelopment on the cards for C-listed Edinburgh offices
March 8 2018
AMA are spearheading plans to reinvigorate Edinburgh’s Springwell House, a C-listed vacant office building on Gorgie Road, by way of conversion to 39 apartments, seven townhouses and two detached homes. This will see a n umber of rear extensions demolished to clear the path for a comprehensive refurbishment and redevelopment, with a range of two and three-storey apartment buildings occupying the current footprint.
These will be joined by seven contemporary townhouses and full refurbishment of the existing gate house and construction of a new detached home, with each new addition intended to ‘contrast and enhance’ qualities of the existing buildings.
Finished in brick and timber the homes will sit within private landscaped grounds with car parking to the south supplanting rear outbuildings.

A bit down market for AMA? Would have loved them to convert the lavvies and to have kept the brick health centre. It had a presence.
