January 27 2017Scottish Design Awards, in partnership with Urban Realm, is marking its second decade as arbiter of ground breaking architectural work ahead of a 22 February entry deadline for practices, clients and designers to put themselves in the running.
Open to both architecture practices and design agencies the awards span the full gamut of architectural scope; from affordable housing to commercial offices and schools.
This year’s architecture panel; which includes John Pelan of the Scottish Civic Trust and Penny Lewis, lecturer at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, will be looking for design work that pushes the envelope while addressing issues of sustainability – all while meeting the needs of clients and individual end users.
All buildings and projects situated in Scotland are eligible for inclusion, as are buildings and projects designed by Scottish architects, engineers and designers throughout the UK and abroad.
An awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 25 May.
