Fullarton Community Hub advances with £1.1m lottery grant
Plans for a new community hub in Irvine, North Ayrshire, have received a cash injection of £1.1m from the Big Lottery, clearing the way for the £1.8m project to proceed.

Fullarton Community Hub has been designed by City Architecture Office to include a GP surgery, hall, garden, games area, meeting rooms and café.

Alan Hill, cabinet member for connected communities at North Ayrshire Council, said: “The area has experienced higher-than-average levels of deprivation and has some of the lowest life expectancy rates in Scotland so I hope this can be the catalyst for a bright new future for Fullarton.”

The new hub will be built on the site of an existing ageing centre in Irvine.
