Stalled Spaces initiative delivers outdoor gym, wildflower meadow & pop-up market
An initiative designed to bring derelict and vacant land back into temporary is beginning to bear its first fruits with the delivery of an array of projects including an outdoor gym, wildflower meadow and pop-up market.

Stalled Spaces Scotland is being delivered by Architecture + Design Scotland as part of a programme of events operating under the Lagacy2014 banner to empower local communities and revitalise town centres.

A+DS chair Karen Anderson, commented: "With the national Stalled Spaces Scotland programme we are delighted to support communities to reactivate vacant or derelict spaces within town centres all across Scotland.”

Angus, Argyll and Bute, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Fife, North Ayrshire and Renfrewshire are currently participating in the programme by providing match funding with communities in all seven local authority areas being encouraged to submit potential projects for second round funding.

The perennially vacant plot at the end of Torphicen Street is a perfect location - following a discussion on another thread. Perhaps CEC should sign up..
