January 3 2013
A conversion of two 16th and 18th century properties on Market Street, one of which was formerly the offices of the Edinburgh Evening News, the ‘budget-design’ destination has been designed in-house by Motel One to match the brands existing estate of 42 hotels throughout Germany and Austria.
Ambitious expansion plans will see a raft of new hotels open in the UK over the next few years, including a second Edinburgh hotel, set to open in autumn 2013, two London hotels scheduled to open in 2014 and new build schemes in Glasgow and Manchester
Dieter Muller, CEO of Motel One Group, said: “This is a very exciting time for Motel One, and the UK launch has been a long time in the making. Our product is young and stylish and focuses on three qualities, namely excellent location, affordable prices and high quality design and service. We think, with this product, we will also inspire our guests in the UK. The Edinburgh launch is just the beginning!”
