Work commences on Technip’s Aberdeen HQ
Construction work has begun on a new £11.8m headquarters building for Technip, provider of project management, engineering and construction services for the energy industry, at Westhill, Aberdeen.

Built by Robertson the 60,000sq/ft facility is due for completion in August 2013 and will entail demolition of the existing site to allow for construction of office space, an emergency response centre, restaurant, café and gym.

It is being designed by TCD Architects with Ramsay and Chalmers acting as structural engineers.

Keith Taylor, regional managing director at Robertson commented: “Technip’s new facility shows their confidence in the market and Aberdeen will benefit greatly from their increased presence in the area.”

A second phase of works will see existing buildings on site refurbished.
