Glasgow City Council has selected the architect to design three new primary schools in the city.

The three schools at Govan, Ruchill and Tinto form part of a wider primary schools investment programme to build 16 new schools worth £128million.  Although the winning architect for the three schools has been selected the results cannot be confirmed until the decision is ratified by a council committee at the end of November.

The shortlist includes; jm architects, Anderson Bell Christie, Building Design Partnership, RMJM (Glasgow), HLM and John Pardey Architects in association with Professor Sir Colin Stansfield Smith.

Meanwhile another shortlist has been drawn up for another new primary school at Hillhead. The non-denominational school on Otago Street and Gibson Street will accommodate 650 children.
