DTZ tasked with drafting Stockport development brief
Real estate advisers DTZ have been appointed by Stockport Council to put together a development brief for the towns Grand Central leisure complex.

This will manage the integration of office space, car parking and a hotel on the town centre site.

Stockport Council’s Paul Lawrence said: “It is the next step in signing up a development partner to help us attract a further £100m investment and create 700 new jobs for the borough.

"There has already been a lot of interest from developers, so I am confident that we will get a partner on board very quickly. We are very proud of our borough and we mean business when it comes to securing future investment and jobs for Stockport.”

The move follows the Council’s purchase of the 30 acre site from Targetfellow Property Holdings last year after the developer was placed into administration.
