A £300m merger of three Glasgow colleges; Central, Metropolitan and Nautical Studies has been progressed to Stage C outline proposals.

The integrated campus will provide accommodation for around 2,000 staff and 50,000 full and part time students.

New Campus Glasgow is being led by Atkins Glasgow office in collaboration with
Michael Laird Architects, who are presently awaiting instruction to move beyond Stage C works into detailed design.

On a statement within the practices website the practice said: “The space within the building needs to work, the building needs to sit comfortably into its community and the building needs to be sympathetic to its environment.”
