Angus Council approves £55m golf development
A £55m golf, hotel and residential development in Broughty Ferry, near Dundee, has been approved by Angus Council.

Designed by Archial the development is being masterminded by Mike Forbes, owner of the adjacent Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort.

It will feature an international standard 18 hole golf course, five star hotel, spa, holiday lodges and a golfing youth academy. An expansion of the adjacent village of Wellbank will contribute 160 homes, including fairway-side villas.

Derek Reid, a director at Archial, described his practices scheme as “bold and ambitious” and promised to continue his engagement with local people through the design process.

Archial previously delivered a nearby housing development at Kingennie Fields.
