Kraft Architecture move into Glasgow’s High Street
Kraft Architecture has completed a custom designed at 280 High Street, the mediaeval heart of Glasgow.

The premises nestle within the retail frontage of an Edwardian City Improvement Trust tenement block and boast a startlingly contemporary dark chocolate façade with grand full height stencilled screen doors.

This palette is extrapolated internally but illuminated by the use of floor to ceiling windows which suck light inside and random splashes of colour chalked on the hardwood floors.

A studious attention to detail sees bookshelves line the walls and intricate chandeliers make the most of generous ceiling heights.

Established in 2007 the creative practice employ extensive collaboration with academia, including the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and the University of Strathclyde’s Architecture department, amongst others.
