Inverness architects refute ‘Carbuncle’ tag
The Inverness Architectural Association (IAA) have launched a campaign to “celebrate the best” architectural work in the region following the news that both Inverness and John o’ Groats have made this years Carbuncle shortlist.

Whilst admitting that the Highlands and islands have: “a legacy of some questionable development to deal with,” IAA president, Calum MacLean, stressed: “there has also been some fantastic work produced by architects here.”

More than 30 architectural project from across the region have been assembled to illustrate this as part of the organisations annual Design Awards.

They include Fores Enterprise park by Colin Armstrong Associates.

Members of the public can view the shortlisted schemes at the Highland Archive Centre in Inverness from June 10-25.
