BDP win Manchester Town Hall work
BDP have been commissioned to deliver building services for the £165m refurbishment of Manchester Town Hall.

Working alongside Ryder who are overseeing the Central Library and Ian Simpson who picked up the Town Hall extension, the team will deliver all mechanical and electrical facets of the development.

The three year project will upgrade the interiors of Manchester Town Hall campus in a bid to bring the buildings into the 21st century whilst preserving their historic character.

Stressing the green credentials of the scheme BDP’s Michael Whitehurst said: “Our vision is that the project sets the standard for environmental performance and carbon emissions that changes the misconception that it is too difficult to achieve this in historic buildings.”
