Consultation on Selfridges application

June 29 2009

Consultation on Selfridges application
Selfridges are to hold a community consultation event for proposed site improvements to their in hiatus retail development.

The event precedes a planning application for the demolition of derelict buildings and provision of temporary uses including public open space, footpath links and car parking.

Selfridges aim to improve the environment of an important city centre site in the short to medium term until a redevelopment of the site can be realized.

Consultations are currently underway between Glasgow City Council, Historic Scotland, the Merchant City Initiative and Merchant City Community Council.

The event will take place at City Halls in the Merchant City, Glasgow on Wednesday July 15 from 4 to 8pm.
