Student flats preview spells the end for obsolescent offices

Proposals for purpose-built student accommodation at 38 Cadogan Street, Glasgow, are bring presented to the public in a second round of consultations.

Bankfoot APAMwill host interested parties on Tuesday 24 June 2025, from 3.00pm to 7.00pm on site to show what will replace the current energy-inefficient office building, dating from 1989.

Incorporating lounges, a gym and co-working areas, the project, designed Russ Drage Architects, is earmarked for the heart of the city’s CBD.

Chris Moore, managing director at Bankfoot APAM, said: “Through the delivery of quality accommodation, use of existing site conditions and carefully thought-out public use, we are confident that the proposals will establish strong connections to the neighbouring streets and enhance the city’s already vibrant and liveable centre.”

A full planning application is expected to go before the council later in the summer.

That's a relief. I was so worried there weren't going to be any more student flats!
