£100m Leith towers are on point

Detailed plans for a £100m twin tower project in Leith have hit planners' desks, promising a mix of student accommodation and build-to-rent homes.

Ocean Point 2 by S Harrison Developments is the second phase of the waterfront scheme, designed by CDA to provide 120 rental apartments and 404 student beds.

Hitting Ocean Drive with an active frontage of commercial, co-working and amenity space the build will also deliver an enhanced public realm.

A spokesperson for Harrison Developments commented: “Our proposed development, if approved, will bring much-needed homes and student accommodation to an area which is undergoing a rapid transformation, delivering a truly mixed community.

“Regenerating a current brownfield site, this development boasts excellent transport links, especially with the new tram line, and will deliver a significant investment into the local community.”

Development has been spurred by a tram extension serving the site and the planned redevelopment of Ocean Terminal

Wow, a twin tower based headline on September 11...

This site has been stalled my entire life and I still don't believe that this will come to anything.

"... on point" is a curious choice of words in the headline. I understand that it is a play on words, but, "on point" is an opinion that is not explained in the article.

Are there really no balconies proposed for this development?
