A Stirling office block has been named the best new build development outside London by commercial property agents.

At a gathering of the Agents Society in London Kildean Business Park took the top regional honour for the £22.4m M&G building, completed by Michael Laird Architects on behalf of Stirling Development Agency (SDA).

Positioned close o the entrance of the six-acre riverside business park the development provides 77,380sq/ft of office space, commanding views to Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument.

SDA board member, David Lawrence, Head of Strategic Projects, Europe at joint venture partner, Cromwell Property Group commented: “Our vision at Kildean is to create an environmentally friendly, high-specification business park that offers sustainable workspace within a green landscape.

“The M&G office building is a prime demonstration of our collaborative approach to development and our unwavering commitment to sustainability."

Campus at Reading International by Buckley Gray Yeoman won best refurbishment/regeneration project outside London, with the remaining award winners all hailing from the capital.

Yea cos nothing says London like a 3 story business park on a greenfield site surrounded by surface parking

Fantastic for Stirling (and any other minor city in Scotland). You don't need to be in the central belt to have high quality commercial development.
