A former primary school in Jedburgh is to play host to 76 homes for social rent following the sale of the site to Cruden Homes.

Aitken Turnbull Architects are to oversee the design of the infill development at the former Howdenburn Primary off Lothian Road, Jedburgh, following the transfer of pupils to a purpose-built campus.

The 5.57-acre site will accommodate a range of 2–4-bedroom homes managed by Eildon Housing Association Two consultation events outlining indicative plans for the build will be held at Jedburgh Town Hall on 18 January and 22 February.

A formal planning application will follow thereafter.
