Disused church cleared for 24 flats in Drumry

A surplus church has been replaced by 24 apartments designed by Coltart Earley in the latest project undertaken by Clydebank Housing Association.

St Cuthbert's Church at Dalton Avenue, Linnvale, was demolished last year in favour of a mix of one to three-bedroom properties, 18 of which have been wheelchair adapted.

Built by Cruden and ready for occupation later this summer the affordable rental properties turn the corner into Bevin Avenue and Drumry station via a feature curve.

Facades are finished in a uniform grey brick with a new parking court formed to the rear.

The design team includes Martin Aitken Associates, Cowal Design Consultants and Gregor Cameron Contracts.
