Twin Aberdeen hotel plan unveiled
Plans to construct a twin hotel development at Aberdeen’s ABZ Business Park have been submitted to Aberdeen City Council by ABZ Development Ltd.

Designed by Archial the £25m scheme entails construction of a 140-bed Novotel and a 112-bed Ibis in a second phase of development following completion of a number of business premises at the airport  site.

George Stevenson, director of ABZ Development Ltd, says: "Aberdeen has for many years suffered a serious shortfall in terms of the number of hotel rooms available, particularly in the Airport vicinity.

“We are extremely pleased to move forward with these proposals and look forward to working with PHM and Accor to realise the development of what are much-needed four star and budget hotel facilities for business and leisure passengers arriving into Aberdeen’s international airport."

More exurban grey boxes surrounded by surface car parks (see also recent hotel proposals by Pacific Quay). Wake up Scotland, this just isn't good enough.
