“unique appeal” of Glasgow’s architecture helps draw Halle Berry to city
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have only just departed the city following conclusion of World War Z filming but the pair may soon be replaced by another Hollywood heavyweight.

Cloud Atlas, a Hollywood remake of the eponymous novel, is to be filmed in the city between the 16-18th September and on September 26.

Montrose Street and other locations around Strathclyde University will be transformed into San Francisco for the shoot, just weeks after the city masqueraded as Philadelphia.

The production boasts an all-star cast including Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving and jim Sturgess - although it’s not thought any of these actors will be flying across the pond.

Instead it is believed that Halle Berry will be following in Pitt’s footsteps - although producers are yet to confirm this.

David Brown, Scottish line producer for the film, said: “In addition to a positive approach and its (Glasgow’s) position as the gateway to the rest of Scotland, the city’s architecture and classic grid system makes it uniquely appealing.”

Could the headline be more misrepresentative of the article and quote? There will be a red banner at the top of the site before too long!

The unique appeal is the "positive approach" (it's cheap to close down sections of the city) the "position" (nice and easy to get in and out) the "architecture and classic grid" (can be made to look like most cities) - the headline is very misleading...
