Reiach & Hall to design UKs National Nuclear Archive
Reiach and Hall have been appointed to develop the National Nuclear Archive, a £15m facility in Wick, Caithness.

Chosen by a panel of jurors including Kathryn Findlay of Ushida Findlay the architects the selection process was organised by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) for Dounraey Site Restoration Ltd.

Naturally delighted with this Christmas gift practice director Neil Gillespie stated: “The project has everything - a really interesting and demanding brief and it is located in the North, one of the most inspirational areas of Scotland. There are relatively few projects of this quality at present. We are aware how fortunate we are.''

Reiach and Hall fended off a strong shortlist in process beating off BDP, Broadway Malyan, Gareth Hoskins and JM architects.

The practice will commence work on the project in the New Year, aiming to complete for the summer of 2013.
