Perth operations centre to manage a surge in electricity transmission capacity

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks with BSP Architects have filed plans for a new operations centre at Perth's Inveralmond Industrial Estate.

Cairngorm House targets a BREEAM 'Good' rating with automatic louvre/Venetian blinds affixed to glazed facades and a photovoltaic array installed within an external carport structure.

The high-security £15m development will be protected by barrier access from Ruthvenfield Road, made necessary by a ramping up of electricity transmission capacity across the north.

Landscaping work will include bench seating, bike stores and a glazed podium balustrade above stone retaining walls.
