Foxbar pub gives ground to 36 apartments

An eyesore Paisley pub has given ground to 36 energy-efficient apartments managed by the Link Group.

The former Stanley Firs Pub on Amochrie Road in the Foxbar district of the town was redeveloped by the JR Group to provide three matching apartment blocks designed by Mast Architects with wheelchair access in mind.

Amenities include enclosed garden patios, footpaths, drying facilities and bike racks together with new roads and parking.

John Horne, managing director of The JR Group, said: "As a Paisley-based business, we could see the negative impact the derelict pub had on the area, so we are delighted to have transformed the site into much needed, high-quality housing for Amochrie Road on behalf of our partners, Link Group."

The three blocks containing 12 apartments apiece have been handed over to The Link Group.
